The goal was to design an eLearning hub from the ground up, making learning engaging and accessible for children aged 7–11. The platform needed to provide a structured, user-friendly experience that encouraged exploration while ensuring young learners could easily navigate content.
As the lead UX designer, I developed the hub’s structure and interface with a focus on simplicity, readability, and engagement. The design introduced clear categorisation, a visual course layout, and a structured dashboard that helped children track their learning progress.
User testing with children aged 7–11 revealed unexpected challenges. Some fonts, while stylistically fitting, impacted readability, requiring adjustments to contrast and sizing. UX writing needed simplification to align with reading levels, and some icons proved unclear, leading to misinterpretation.
The final eLearning hub provided a visually engaging and structured learning experience tailored to young users. Improvements to font legibility, clearer icons, and refined instructional text ensured a smoother, frustration-free journey.
By grounding the design in real user feedback, the eLearning hub became a truly accessible and engaging tool for young learners.
